The HRIS Data Governance Consultant will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks across Skillfi’s Human Resources Information Systems. This senior-level role (Level 7) requires strategic oversight to ensure data integrity, compliance, and optimal utilization of HR analytics for informed decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce comprehensive data governance policies, standards, and procedures for all HRIS platforms.
- Conduct data quality assessments, identify gaps, and implement remediation plans to maintain high‑quality HR data.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and compliance teams to align data governance initiatives with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and local labor laws.
- Design and deliver training programs to promote data stewardship and best practices among HR stakeholders.
- Lead data lineage mapping, metadata management, and master data management activities to ensure accurate and consistent data across systems.
- Provide expert guidance on data security, access controls, and audit trails to safeguard sensitive employee information.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data governance, produce regular reports, and recommend continuous improvement strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in HRIS data governance, data management, or related fields, preferably within large, complex organizations.
- Proven expertise with major HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and data integration tools.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations, data quality frameworks, and master data management concepts.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing senior leadership.
- Relevant certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, or HRIS-specific credentials are highly desirable.
